Jewellery maker Jenna Iannelli was one of our first clients to express impatience with minimalist design. Neo-Baroque in style, her Valentine Rouge collection imbues the luxurious decadence of a golden age with a modern feminine vibe. Her identity needed to marry the extravagance of her aesthetic with a look that exudes elegance and prestige. We chose the hummingbird—a bird popular in Baroque iconography—as the central symbol of her brand. Like the hummingbird, wearers of Valentine Rouge seek only the sweetest nectar of life. The look is complemented by Baroque-era patterning, an ornate custom typeface and gold and metallic ink. Our work focuses very deliberately on the mid-40s demographic that defines VR’s clientele.
